The value of Family and Children's Photography is priceless. Our work reflects the joy and love found in children and families. As Australian-born photographer Anne Geddes says, "To be able to capture on film the innocence, trust and happiness that is inherent in the next generation is a very special responsibility." This task is something we also take seriously and we see every session as an opportunity to capture a moment in time.Tips for families:
- Glasses are generally a problem in photography. We suggest you either have your lenses removed or borrow an empty frame from your optometrist.
- Generally speaking, brighter colored clothing will photograph better than darker colors. It is not necessary for all family members to wear the same color, but it is important that one member doesn't stand out from the rest.
- We suggest you decide in advance whether you would like your family session indoors or outdoors and that you let us know at the time of booking.
- Make sure you look your best from head to toe, as we occasionally take full-length family photos.
- Family pets are welcomed, if they are able to sit relatively still.
Tips for Children:
- We have props at the Studio, but feel free to bring your own to individualize the portrait.
- We suggest no more than two outfits as children generally do not tolerate clothing changes.
- Pets can add to a portrait, but they must be well-behaved.
- Hats, bare feet, diapers, etc. in some shots make the portrait interesting, fun and irresistible!
